This is What Fascism Looks Like;
Time is short before we are all enslaved! Do Something, Anything TODAY RIGHT NOW, to get the word out and make difference.
This is our Planet and We Are, The People and the Social Contract is NOW OFFICIALLY BROKEN!
Here is the RAW, UNCENSORED, first-hand point of view of my brutal arrest at the Occupy LA Raid that took place on November 29th-30th, 2011, that clearly illustrates several constitutional and human rights violations, most notably the Freedom of Press. As a rapper-journalist, I must share this with the world.
Around 1:10 you can clearly hear Officer Pedrosa tell me, “You can videotape all you like; the light has to go out.” at which point I turn the light off on my cameraphone. Moments later around 3:07 you see an officer come out of nowhere, where he lunged at MY CAMERA! The cameraphone went flying, at which point he violently dragged me from the crowd behind the line of police. At 3:16 and from that point on, the cameraphone is on the ground and the rest of the video is pretty much audio of the event, where you hear people attempt to help me, shouting “Police Brutality” and my beuatiful partner doing everything in her power to stop them from attacking me. The police brutally ripped me from the crowd as they wanted NO cameras or documentation of the event taking place in direct violation of our constitutional right to Freedom of Press.
I was tackled by several cops, violently slammed to the ground, my head ground into the cement tiles of Solidarity Park, with what seemed to be a dozen cops on top of me. My arm was injured and I am still sore, with plastic cuffs put on me extremely tight, cutting off my circulation til my hands were blue. One cop at the Metro detention center later said, “Wow, those cuffs are on very tight!” I was handed off to other cops to hand me off to other cops to hand me off to other cops to hand me off to a sheriff who put me on a bus with other people being arrested, all done vey tactfully,
Around 4:05, my partner recovers my cameraphone and the screen goes black, with audio being documented of the scene and of her unlawful arrest. She was simply observing my arrest to make sure that they did not brutalize me further, at which point she becomes targeted for her observation of my arrest. You can clearly hear her arrest at 6:16, where the officer tells her that she would be arrested if she did not leave. She begins to leave and is immediately arrested.
The rest of our arrests is documented here audio only and around 10:31 you see a cop put the cameraphone into a a bag as part of my partner’s property. Thankfully the phone is back in my possession and I am sharing this footage with all of you – footage that the LAPD desperately tried to steal and censor
As you hear me repeat in this video, “The People of California do not yield their sovereignty to the agencies that serve them.”
The main reason that I want to put this up is so all can see that I was targeted by the LAPD for documenting this historic event on film. This is in direct violation of the First Amendment of the United States Constitution:
Amendment 1 – Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Also note Occupy LA was in complete compliance with the First Amendment, as it is our right to free speech, free press, to peaceably assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances; and in accordance with a resolution passed by the Los Angeles City Council to let us gather there indefinitely.
In Love and Solidarity,
